Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician Specialist supporting the Army Division. The role involves assisting with procurement processes and supporting the U.S. Army Development Command in various technical and operational tasks.

Responsibilities

Capable of shipping and receiving

Researching vendors and getting quotes

Preparing and processing purchasing orders and managing vendor relationship

Experience working with research, development, and processing Ammunition and Explosives (A&E)

Maintain the ability to achieve appropriate A&E certifications to include: AvMC A&E Handler certification, respirator certification and forklift certification

Assist in the preparation of mixing ingredients using a variety of techniques including sampling ingredients for chemical analysis

Submit inventory adjustments into Ammunition Tracking System (AMCATS) and assist with error resolution and correction

With training and demonstrative proficiency, standard equipment operates such as mixers, ovens, vacuum pumps, process control instrumentation

Properly disposes of hazardous waste generated during ingredient preparation or mixing processes

Ensures environmental, health, and safety focus is maintained in explosive mixing operations

Wear and work with various PPE and be safety aware
