The Biomedical Engineering & Sciences Practice is seeking a Laboratory Technician 1 or 2 responsible for supporting technical functions, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting engineers with inspections.

Responsibilities

Building, conducting and documenting tests using mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Performing various tasks in a lab environment
Maintaining laboratory equipment and tools
Participating in keeping the facility clean

Required

Two or more years of experience working in a biomedical engineering lab or equivalent AA degree or equivalent technical experience
Fabrication, plumbing, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Hands-on skills ability to operate common construction and machine tools (lathe, mill, band saw, etc.)
Excellent verbal communications skills
Demonstrated dedication to quality and accuracy as well as the ability to work well independently
Must be versatile, team-oriented, willing to work overtime, and travel as needed
Understanding quality management systems (e.g. ISO 17025, ISO 9001 or equivalent)
