Director of Business Development - Acquisitions
Sage Dental is the leading Dental Support Organization (DSO) in the Southeast, and they are seeking a Director of Business Development - Acquisitions to drive growth through sourcing and closing acquisitions. This role involves managing the acquisition lifecycle, building relationships, and ensuring a seamless transition to the integrations team.

Responsibilities
Build and manage a continual pipeline of acquisition opportunities that meet Sage’s criteria
Develop referral relationships with Sage doctors and team members
Partner with marketing to execute acquisition lead generation through digital, traditional, paid, and non-paid sources
Attend dental conferences and networking events to cultivate acquisition prospects as a brand ambassador for Sage
Establish and manage relationships with dental practice brokers, evaluating opportunities against Sage’s standards
Conduct market surveys in targeted geographies to proactively identify high-value opportunities before they come to market
Refine Sage’s value proposition to selling doctors and integrate that value proposition through all acquisition materials
Maintain acquisition pipeline tracking reports with deals in process and projected timelines
Collect and manage diligence materials on potential acquisitions, ensuring timely and accurate information flow
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, etc.) to validate data and ensure readiness for closing
Organize pre-closing practice visits, site tours, and conference calls with selling doctors
Lead quality targets through the diligence and closing process
Serve as the primary relationship owner for prospective and selling doctors from initial engagement through close
Partner with the integrations team to ensure a smooth handoff and positive onboarding experience
Conduct post-close check-ins with acquired doctors to ensure satisfaction and leverage them as future referral or reference sources
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field (MBA preferred)
7+ years of experience in acquisitions, business development, or corporate development (healthcare or dental industry strongly preferred)
Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals
Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate practice performance
Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across functions
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
