The Senior Electrical Engineer will act as an owner engineer and design engineer on various MV and HV generation substation projects, overseeing electrical design aspects and providing technical guidance to junior staff.

Responsibilities
Aspects of electrical design related to generation, transmission, and distribution, including substations for solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Integration into the electrical grid, underground distribution systems, industrial electrical plant applications, and communications technologies
Outlining the initial design concepts for substations and overseeing the review or creation of detailed designs, this includes:
Electrical layouts and elevations
Single-line and three-line diagrams
DC and AC control schematics, wiring connections, cable schedules
Organization of raceways, such as cable trays, duct banks, and trenches
Comprehensive bill of materials
Author technical specifications for major electrical components to meet customer needs and adhere to the most recent and relevant standards
Vendor’s proposal evaluation
Reviewing vendor’s equipment specifications, and shop drawings
Maintaining project schedule while adhering to project quality and budget objectives
Excellent teamwork and collaboration
Provide technical guidance to junior designers and engineers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science or Electrical Engineering with power system emphasis
10+ years of experience in relevant work
License as a Professional Engineer
