Early Career Neutronics Code and Methods Engineer

Responsibilities
Perform standard and non-standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events
Solve a range of straightforward problems, analyze solutions and assess each using standard procedures
Ensure compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff
Independently evaluate, select and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications for tasks previously performed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills
Preferred
Experience or coursework demonstrating a working knowledge of reactor physics and thermal-hydraulics phenomena
Experience with software development with C, C++, Fortran, or Python code development
Experience with computer model development and application (e.g. SERPENT, MCNP, SCALE, CASMO, SIMULATE, or other nuclear industry analysis code)
Effectively communicate highly technical topics to diverse groups which include Framatome management, customers, and NRC staff
Experience developing and documenting software within an NQA-1 quality assurance program
