Responsibilities

Build the web server applications, spearhead our initial frontend user experiences, and create general product infrastructure for tax professionals, working directly with Aaron and Venky

Drive technology and architectural choices for Additive’s client and web applications that will enable us to rapidly build and iterate on user experiences that enable our customers to do their best work

Design and build the integration of ML inference, monitoring systems, Large Language Model (LLM) interactions, and tax-related business logic into user-facing applications

Build out database layers within our systems and data integration strategy with external vendor APIs and interfaces

Facilitate a forward-looking strategy around client-side local applications, plugins, and extensions for a variety of scenarios

Collaborate with the rest of the team on effective CI/CD systems that help us all move faster

Engage directly with accountants to understand their needs and how we can best build a product that they absolutely love

Be expected to operate with autonomy and judgement to deliver tremendous value while working with both technical and market constraints

Required

5+ years experience working on user-facing applications in a meaningful ownership role for what was built and why, ideally for application(s) oriented at enterprise/business users

Experience with ML concepts and integrating ML inference and monitoring capabilities into business applications

Comfortable with Python and at least one web framework (e.g. Flask, Django, FastAPI, Pyramid, Bottle), some amount of frontend web application framework experience (e.g. React, Vue, Svelte), cloud providers such as GCP/AWS, container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes), and database and storage layers (e.g. Postgres, SQL, S3/GCS)
