Responsibilities
Interface between users and project managers bridging the gap between technology and business stakeholders
Perform detailed requirements analysis and the documentation of business processes, test cases and user stories
Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements
Identify and prioritize technical and functional requirements
Engage with stakeholders and users to understand how data-driven changes to processes, products, services, software, and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value
Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states and optimization strategies
Propose and evaluate solutions to determine what is technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable
Stay current on the latest process and technology advancements to automate and modernize systems
Work efficiently in a team setting on projects to successful completion
Exercise judgement in developing and implementing methods and techniques to obtain desired results following industry best practices
Deliver services within the allocated budget
Develop functional and technical documentation
Regularly interact and build relationships with team members, managers, customers, and business partners including
Support development of proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs)
Support business development and marketing initiatives by meeting with customers and prospective customers, attending industry events, and giving presentations
Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
Complete other duties as required/assigned
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of geospatial concepts and Esri solutions is required
Experience working in Virginia is required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is required. Experience may be substituted for degree
Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
Preferred
IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional or PMI Professional in Business Analytics certification is preferred
Experience in transportation, utilities, water, and state/local government markets is preferred
Experience delivering solutions on a team using Agile framework approach is preferred
Experience serving as a team member providing technology consulting services is preferred
