Strategic Communications Analyst
USAJOBS is seeking a Strategic Communications Analyst to support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy. Responsibilities
Lead, plan, organize, manage, and oversee cross-organizational activities that pertain to strategic communications and stakeholder engagement
Develop policies or strategies supporting implementation and/or administration of strategic communication plans
Govern a broad range of media engagement activities addressing manpower and reserve affairs
Influence representatives of diverse organizations align strategic messaging and engagement efforts of communications across the department
Validate accuracy of responses to media requests for information
Develop goals that integrate organization and strategic communications objectives
Qualification
Required
One year of specialized experience which includes developing communication plans and outreach strategies for manpower and reserve affairs, measuring the effectiveness of media engagement program operations, preparing external engagement strategies and messaging on manpower and reserve affairs, and evaluating the impact of changes in legislative and regulatory requirements on programs
Proof of U.S. Citizenship required
Direct deposit of pay is required
One year probationary period may be required
Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation
This position is a Testing Designated position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing
You will be required to sign a DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing
May be required to submit to screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and are subject to random testing thereafter
Appointment to this position may be contingent upon a negative drug test result
This position is designated Critical Sensitive (Top Secret) and requires a Tier 5 investigation favorably adjudicated
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13)
