The role of Senior Officer, Computer Operator involves ensuring the seamless operation of the bank’s IT systems in a 24x7 Command Center environment, including monitoring, incident management, and collaboration with support teams.

Responsibilities

Perform real-time monitoring of system platforms, applications, ATM services and network infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools and promptly escalate exceptions to corresponding support teams, in accordance with SOPs, for timely action

Track and manage scheduled batch jobs, ensuring timely execution and resolution of job failures conforming to the SLAs with business

Promptly identify, escalate, and track incidents to the appropriate support teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations

Conduct first-level diagnosis and resolution of system and batch issues before escalating to higher support tiers

Work closely with infrastructure and application support teams to coordinate responses to incidents and planned maintenance activities

Maintain accurate operational logs, incident records, and shift handover documentation to support audit and compliance reviews

Required

Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

2+ years of hands-on experience in IT operations or Command Center environment

Familiarity with one or more of the IT systems - Mainframe, AS/400, UNIX/Linux, Windows

Working experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Fluency in both spoken and written English

Good interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team player, and remain calm under pressure

Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts following a structured pattern (e.g. three consecutive workdays followed by two days off, then two workdays followed by another two days off)
