Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Security)
The Center for Medicare is part of the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and is seeking a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Security). In this role, you will provide executive leadership in overseeing system security and operations, ensuring compliance and technical direction.

Responsibilities
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work
Review work performance of subordinates
Provide expert leadership in the oversight, monitoring and technical direction related to system security and system operations
Direct the activities related to the performance of assigned contractors and contractor data centers in systems areas
Analyze trends and patterns identifying underlying causes of performance and contract issues related to systems security and operations
Qualification
Required
You must be a U.S. Citizen or National to apply for this position
You will be subject to a background and suitability investigation
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: Overseeing and evaluating a third-party contractor managing health care data, ensuring compliance with IT and system security standards; AND Providing technical assistance to peers and subordinates serving as a liaise with the third-party contractor, on system implementation and systems security issues; AND Leading teams or directing projects related to system security and operations, either internally or through oversight of the contractor handling sensitive health data such as Protected Health Information (PHI)/ Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
In addition to the qualifications listed above, you must have IT-related Basic Requirement experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
