Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native Python applications on Microsoft Azure

Build and maintain Azure components

Develop basic UI components to support backend services using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or front-end frameworks like React or Vue

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated testing, builds, and deployment

Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to maintain secure, scalable, and compliant deployment environments

Integrate Python-based applications with AI/ML services, such as Azure Cognitive Services, Azure ML, or external APIs

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows secure development practices and industry standards

Participate in peer code reviews and architectural discussions

Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability of deployed applications

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of relevant experience, or a total of 9 years of applicable professional experience in lieu of a degree

Extensive experience in developing applications using Python on the Azure platform

Experience with CI/CD development and deployment pipelines, especially using GitHub Actions

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and secure API design patterns

Basic proficiency in frontend development (HTML/CSS/JS), with the ability to create simple UIs to support app workflows

Proficient with Git and GitHub workflows, including branching, PRs, and repo management. Familiarity with secure coding practices, DevSecOps principles, and Azure security (RBAC, managed identities, secrets)

Must be eligible to obtain a Department of Homeland Security EOD clearance (Requirements 1. Proof of US Citizenship, 2. Favorable Background Investigation)
