Responsibilities
Monitor daily cybersecurity activity in shifts, using tools to determine if activity is malicious or benign and engage others as required
Provide malware analysis and escalate as appropriate to Incident Response teams
Conduct baseline threat hunting informed by intelligence from utility peers and other sources
Perform hunting and analysis on phishing cases and reports of potential compromise/breach
Perform proficient forensic analysis using security tools and monitoring systems to discover sources of anomalous security events
Assist in performing basic research internally and externally
Perform complex system administration tasks for security tools (e.g., customization, cross-tool integration)
Develop strategies to implement work within the department
Qualification
Required
Minimum: High School or GED
Desired: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience; IT Security certification
Preferred
5+ years experience
Certifications
AA or Bachelor's degree
