Responsibilities
Work with technical writers, localization specialists, the project management office, and core teams to define the scope of user documentation and localization projects
Partner with the technical publications team to identify all affected user documentation to be created or updated
Create and manage project schedules for technical documentation deliverables
Work cross‑functionally with Regulatory, Quality, Engineering, Clinical Development, Human Factors, Product Marketing, and Training to gather IFU requirements and create strategies and timelines that support project and business needs
Identify, communicate, and help resolve project risks, resource overloads, and content creation or revision constraints
Represent the technical publications function on project core teams
Collaborate with marketing commercialization on international project roll‑out schedules
Coordinate with technical publications management on resource needs and project timelines
Establish deadlines and support needs with external translation and print vendors
Understand regulatory requirements for labeling and documentation; partner with Regulatory on submissions, country‑specific registration strategies, and timelines
Ensure Design Control processes are followed per relevant procedures
Participate in and initiate department process improvement projects
Create language kits and/or strategize on user documentation architecture; work with Procurement for fulfillment as needed
Conduct or delegate first article inspections when required
Perform other related duties as needed to support department objectives
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience creating project schedules using MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar software (required)
Extensive knowledge of project management processes, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement and documentation methods (required)
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, set priorities, and manage time effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi‑task and work both independently and in a team
Preferred
Minimum 1–4 years of project management experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred
Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification preferred
Experience with Change Management software (Agile or equivalent) highly preferred
Previous experience with medical devices in FDA and internationally regulated environments highly preferred
Highly organized with good analytical skills preferred
Understanding of localization processes preferred
