Operating Partner - Vice President of Sales

ETHOS Talent and Advisory is partnering with a private equity backed SaaS portfolio company to hire a proven revenue leader. The VP of Sales will be responsible for building a repeatable, data-driven revenue engine and driving overall commercial performance across Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the company revenue strategy including segmentation, pricing, forecasting, and go to market planning
Build and manage a predictable, metrics driven revenue engine to accelerate ARR growth
Partner with the CEO and private equity stakeholders on value creation planning, board reporting, and long range financial models
Identify opportunities for market expansion, new verticals, and product led growth
Lead, mentor, and scale a high performing SaaS sales team with three direct reports at the outset
Define sales processes, playbooks, territories, and performance metrics
Drive pipeline development, qualification, and deal execution to exceed revenue targets
Implement modern revenue tools, CRM best practices, and sales enablement programs
Oversee Customer Success strategy to maximize net revenue retention, reduce churn, and expand accounts
Establish frameworks for onboarding, adoption, renewal management, and customer satisfaction including NPS and CSAT
Partner with Marketing leadership and direct reports to build a full funnel demand engine
Align messaging, positioning, and campaigns with the ideal customer profile and value proposition
Ensure tight integration between Marketing, SDR, and Sales to drive conversion efficiency
Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to inform roadmap prioritization based on customer needs and competitive intelligence
Align operational, financial, and go to market teams to drive consistent execution

Required

Ten plus years of progressive leadership experience in SaaS revenue roles
At least three years owning a full revenue number
Proven track record scaling ARR from roughly ten million dollars to fifty million dollars or comparable growth stages
Experience leading and developing direct reports across multiple revenue functions such as Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing
Deep knowledge of B2B SaaS metrics including CAC, LTV, NRR, pipeline coverage, win rates, and sales cycle optimization
Track record building high performing teams in a fast paced, high accountability environment
Strong operational acumen
Excellent communication skills
Data driven commercial mindset
Ability to lead both strategically and hands on, especially in resource lean growth environments
CRM fluency such as Salesforce or HubSpot
Familiarity with sales automation and revenue operations systems

Preferred

Experience in private equity backed or investor owned environments
Strong preference for candidates located in the Northeast United States
