They are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to develop a diverse portfolio of electrical engineering projects, focusing on the design, construction, and maintenance of complex electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Performing calculations related to the sizing and installation of electrical equipment including: MCC’s, lighting, circuit breakers, motors, transformers, wiring systems, switchgear, and grounding systems

Utilizing the National Electrical Code, IEEE standards, and requirements of insurers in the development of electrical designs at industrial and commercial facilities

Developing detailed equipment specifications for electrical distribution equipment, MCC’s, Drives, low voltage field devices, instrumentation, lighting, circuit protection, and power monitoring equipment

Designing power distribution and grounding systems up to 15kV

Developing motor and process control documents including loop and motor elementary drawings

Preparing proposals, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for engineering projects

Analyzing data, preparing reports, and delivering presentations on proposed and ongoing projects to internal staff and clients

Mentoring and overseeing junior engineers and technicians

Taking an active leadership role with design development and delivery of final documents for electrical projects

Providing oversight, sign, and seal design documents and reports developed by electrical staff members

Performing QA/QC reviews throughout the design development process

Working directly with clients to develop project options and alternatives, provide engineering guidance for project planning and development, field investigations, and critical issues

Collaborating with multi discipline groups within KOA to develop and deliver integrated projects

Required

BS in Electrical Engineering with a Professional Engineering License (PE)

10+ years of experience in electrical engineering and design

Knowledge and application of the principles and practices of CAD development and creation of drawing packages at various stages of design development

Ability to effectively communicate and interact with Krech Ojard staff, individuals from other organizations, and client representatives

Experience supervising or providing direct oversight to engineers and design professionals

Demonstrated knowledge of project lifecycle and ability to manage complex engineering and multidiscipline projects

Preferred

Experience performing power coordination and arc flash studies and develop single line drawings using SKM

Experience with power distribution design up to 230kV

Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI programming

Experience developing design packages, P&IDs, and alternatives from concept to issued for construction using AutoCAD Electrical or Revit software packages
