Technical Manager

Kaneka North America is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee product stewardship strategy and lead product development initiatives. The role involves maintaining relationships with customers and relevant organizations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Monitor global regulatory and legislation, develop and execute product stewardship strategy such as evaluation of its impact, support to lobbyist effort by all means, management of test and toxicology study if required
Lead our sequential product development work such as market research, product design, applications research and product introduction to the US market
Create strong relationships with our current customers to expand our business but also to reinforce the cooperation among relevant organizations such as standardizing (•ASTM, NFPA), governmental (CPSC) AND MILITARY (Natick RDE) to obtain valuable information and to draw them to direction of Kaneka’s advantage as an insider
Maintain complete and open lines of communication with other personnel, functions, or departments to facilitate operations and interaction in the organization
Keep supervisor informed of status and progress, ensuring that regular and periodic communication takes place
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and keeping abreast of industry trends and related compliance issues within the area of responsibilities
Maintain professional conduct, attendance, and high ethical standards in the work place, complying with company’s policies and procedures
Fulfill mandatory training requirements applicable for department and job duties as appropriate
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management
