Supervisor - Electrical Engineer

In this role, the Supervisor - Electrical Engineer will oversee engineering assignments, ensure compliance with standards, and foster relationships with clients while leading a team of engineers.

Responsibilities
Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments
Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned
Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards
Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures
Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members
Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships
Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements
Works on special projects, as directed. Performs other related duties and tasks, as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 7 years of related experience
Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required
Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills
Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates
Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills
Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills
Preferred
Leadership experience supervising direct reports across multi-discipline work groups of engineers and technical specialists. Disciplines may include mechanical, chemical, electrical, and instrumentation & control
Advanced knowledge of related engineering and technical standards, techniques, and criteria; demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates, other work groups, and suppliers
At least 10 years in an electrical engineering and experience in industrial automation, instrumentation and controls is preferred
Preferred skills include design/program of PLCs (Allen Bradley), Oversee of field work including new installations, integration into existing systems, and troubleshooting
Strong management capabilities: ability to identify and grow talent, build a sense of community within a team, and improve the output of another engineer
Experience in overseeing instrumentation calibration programs
