Responsibilities
This Naval Architect will design, build, and maintain Unmanned Systems (UxSs) in PMS 406's portfolio
This role will use knowledge of hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, flotation and stability, structures, arrangements, and construction, and cost and survivability assessment to synthesize the often conflicting demands from competing design constraints to determine the most balanced designs for UxSs
This role requires proficiency with modern computation tools to perform UUV and USV design studies
Qualification
Required
At least 10 years of professional experience
Top Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's level degree in Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering
Preferred
15 or more years of professional experience in Naval Architecture
Relevant mechanical engineering experience with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process)
