Director, Network Partnerships (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities and support optimization efforts
Build a supplier strategy, lead and manage negotiations for all contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions to achieve technical, financial and performance objectives for RTX
License Types: Experience with various forms of software licensing, whether it is subscriptions, perpetual, re-mix practices to achieve best-in-class pricing methodologies
Supplier Examples: AT&T, Verizon, Equinix, Cisco, HPE, Palo Alto, Zscaler etc
Scope: Telecommunications, Network Services, Infrastructure, Security Services and Engineering software and tools
Business case analysis: Review and incorporate supplier landscape alternatives. Identify supplier risks and overall health to develop executive level analysis & presentations
Contract Review & Drafting: Review, draft, and revise a variety of contracts, amendments, orders and EULAs
Collaboration: Lead a team and work closely with internal stakeholders including partnership peers, legal, finance, cyber, and global trade to align contract terms with RTX objectives and values
Vendor Management: Manage relationship with suppliers ensuring adherence to agreed terms, quality, and opportunity development
Establish supplier engagement plans and enforce overall governance within portfolios
Develop and manage an integrated master schedule of engagements, renewals, RFXs, etc
Facilitate supplier performance reviews, benchmarks & reporting
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Supports the investigation, negotiation and favorable resolution of disputes with suppliers
Managing Software audits
Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate records of all contract negotiations, drafts and final agreements
Track & enhance infrastructure and software projects at regular intervals with focus on savings, synergies across the Business Units, efficiency and speed
Manage and track all current supplier contracts, orders and SOWs, to ensure they do not expire and have a plan in place to renew or exit
Market Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in network services and engineering software landscape

Required

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Procurement and negotiation expertise: Extensive experience in negotiating complex hardware and software contracts, deep understanding of software licensing models, and end-to-end procurement processes to drive cost savings and performance improvements
Technical and infrastructure knowledge: Strong understanding of infrastructure capabilities, including virtualization, software-defined, and converged solutions, with the ability to align technical requirements with contract performance
Analytical and strategic problem-solving: Proven ability to analyze financial data, budgets, and program performance, and develop strategies and business cases to improve outcomes, while efficiently resolving problems
Communication and relationship management: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of delivering results through collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Prior experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy or transformation roles
