Accounting Supervisor, Property Accounting

As an Accounting Supervisor in Property Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing rent payments, managing vendor relations, and ensuring compliance with lease terms while mentoring staff and collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities
Responsible for processing monthly rent payments including CAM/TAX/INS
Review landlord invoices and rent statements; ensure timely and accurate payment submission
Complete performance evaluations, mentor staff, provide training, and interview and hire staff
Maintain a log of unrecorded liabilities including CAM recon pending review, additional rent, and utility invoices
Collaborate with Accounting/Finance and Real Estate teams to ensure timely rent remittance
Monitor and manage vendor cards approval process
Oversee the reconciliation of landlord invoices, CAM charges, and other operating expenses to ensure accuracy and compliance with lease terms
Manage the Property Lease inbox (designated landlord relations inbox), responding promptly to landlord inquiries, remittance address changes, rent disputes, and redirecting communications
Coordinate with Real Estate Legal to accurately abstract lease agreements, amendments and other lease documents
Qualification
Required
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience with lease administration/lease accounting systems (Lease Harbor, Yardi, MRI)
Prior experience in commercial real estate, retail or multi-entity environments
Must have MS Excel skills, self-direction, and the ability to work with individuals at every level in the organization
Detailed oriented and knowledgeable candidates who are able to work independently and within a team
