Responsibilities

Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java (Spring, Spring Boot)
Implementing and consuming RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture
Working with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases
Integrating with event-driven systems using tools like Kafka and RabbitMQ
Contributing to and improving CI/CD processes and DevOps practices
Operating in a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Participating in agile ceremonies and working in Scrum or Kanban teams
Writing maintainable, testable code and conducting peer reviews

Required

3–5 years of experience in backend development with Java, ideally with Spring/Spring Boot
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and working in microservices environments
Proficiency in data modeling with relational and NoSQL databases
Understanding of event-driven architectures and message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., TDD, BDD)
Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on code quality
Working proficiency in English and Spanish
Collaborative attitude and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience designing or supporting event-driven or streaming systems
Exposure to system design and experience with scalable architectures
Previous involvement in architectural decisions
Knowledge of financial applications or fintech systems
Interest in using AI tools to streamline development or operations
