Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, statutory reporting and financial controls
Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial information throughout the accounting cycle, meeting both statutory and IFRS reporting standards
Lead Tax and Treasury function, ensuring compliance with local regulations, accurate reporting and effective liquidity management in coordination with regional and Group teams
Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and systems to enhance quality, efficiency and transparency
Lead, mentor and develop direct reports (Tax and Treasury), while supporting the broader finance community through knowledge sharing, capability-building and process ownership
Collaborate with Shared Service organisation and key stakeholders to resolve accounting and control issues and to ensure alignment with Group policies and directives
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all AARO-reporting including P&L, Balance Sheet and all sub-forms for ANZ
Validate accruals, provisions, depreciations & amortisations to ensure compliance with IFRS and Group accounting principles
Oversee the month end close process, ensuring quality, consistency and adherence to reporting timelines
Partner with Business Area Controllers and the Finance Leadership Team to ensure accurate forecasting and planning in line with regional and Group requirements
Provide variance analysis and commentary on key financial metrices e.g. YoY, MoM and AC compared to AARO Forecast and Annual Plan. Implement action plans when necessary
Perform monthly cost centre reviews and performance analysis with relevant stakeholders
Lead or contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and analysis
Oversee tax compliance and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submission of all statutory obligations (corporate tax, GST, FBT etc.)
Partner with Group Tax and external advisors to manage audits, optimise tax positions and mitigate risks
Manage treasury operations in collaboration with regional and Group teams to ensure liquidity, cash management and funding efficiency
Drive improvement initiatives to simplify, standardise and automate finance operations across ANZ
Actively contribute to finance transformation, ERP enhancements and system implementation projects
Maintain documentation of key ANZ financial processes (e.g. AARO reporting, provisions management, reconciliations) to support consistency, knowledge retention and audit readiness
Ensure adherence to Group policies and directives across accounting and reporting processes
Maintain strong internal control compliance under the Electrolux Control System (ECS)
Serve as a key contact for Group Internal Audit and Compliance functions on ANZ related matters
Lead coordination of external financial and regulatory audits for ANZ
Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring timely provisions of information and audit deliverables
Collaborate with Business Area Controllers and functional stakeholders to support operational decision making and financial integrity. Provide accurate financial data, analysis, and guidance to enable informed business decisions
Qualification
Required
Extensive expertise in Financial Controllership, with a track record of driving financial governance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
Industry experience within organisations that manufacture or supply tangible consumer products, ideally in Consumer Goods, FMCG, Retail, or Manufacturing sectors
Proven success operating within global or regional matrix structures, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups and business functions
A pragmatic and hands-on leadership style, with demonstrated capability in managing and mentoring a small team
Solid knowledge of taxation regulations across Australia and New Zealand, with practical experience in ensuring compliance and overseeing tax-related matters
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
Professional accreditation as a CA or CPA is essential
Preferred
Proficiency in SAP is highly advantageous
