Responsibilities

Take ownership for achieving goals and outcomes

Manage colleagues and oversee a range of programs and processes

Handle complex underwriting

Balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and make sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, judgment, and a risk mindset

Build effective relationships with brokers and deliver a high standard of customer service

Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and learning while mentoring and developing colleagues

Facilitate personal growth and career development, supporting succession planning

Play a key role in new business development, including attending broker events and building new relationships across the market

Required

Proven underwriting experience in Professional Liability/Cyber, Financial Lines and a successful record of selling products to clients

Deep technical expertise

Advanced knowledge of the US Financial Lines business (D&O, EPL, PTL, Cyber, Fidelity) including product features, forms, regulatory environment, and risks etc

Proven people management skills and a record of developing more junior colleagues

The ability to analyze financial statements

Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills

Good organizational and time management skills

Customer and sales-orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable
