Director Clinical Education and Development

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Director of Clinical Education and Development to join their team. This role is responsible for designing and executing training strategies for clinical staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality patient care while aligning with organizational goals and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and evaluate clinical education for CMAs and LVNs
Asses clinical competencies upon hire, design and deploy continuing education, and generate upskilling initiatives
Asses clinical processes as they relate to patient safety, regulatory guidelines, and general support of a provider
Develop standardized clinical competencies to ensure consistency and quality across all practice locations. Offer recommendations for changes as appropriate
Support policy development and risk mitigation efforts in partnership with Compliance and Risk teams
Collaborate with all levels of leadership to identify and resolve training needs and performance gaps
Mentor and coach Clinical Educators to ensure effective learning solutions are delivered to diverse audiences
Design and deliver training in multiple formats, including in-person, virtual, eLearning, and blended platforms
Partner with Physician Leaders, Practice Managers, Organizational Development, and Operational Leaders to align education strategies in support of MA, CMA, and LVN development
Support initiatives to improve staff engagement, retention, and career progression pathways
Collaborate with CMA Apprenticeship Program Manager to drive continuous improvement
Collaborate with Specialty Care Service Line for specialized training as needed
Introduce innovative learning methods such as simulation, e-learning, and peer coaching
Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and clinical best practices
Collaborate with Compliance and Risk to validate that training meets organizational, safety, and regulatory board requirements

Required

Bachelor's Degree Business, Education, Nursing, or a related healthcare field required. 4 additional years experience without degree required
Graduate of an accredited CMA or LVN program required
6 years progressive experience leading and managing teams with responsibilities in the areas of training, learning assessment, instructional design, development, implementation and evaluation required. 10 years experience required without degree
3 years of supervisory experience in a physician practice or ambulatory care setting required
MA - Medical Assistant Certified, or, LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in coaching, process mapping, and workflow optimization
Proactive and collaborative working style with capacity to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams

Preferred

Strongly prefer experience in workflow development and clinical operations with direct experience with MA education and MA training
