Lead cross-functional teams and provide strategic consulting, full lifecycle product development

Develop from ideas to a fully featured product, and guide other engineers in doing so

Mentor and develop other engineers in their careers

Manage development pipelines, test automation, continuous integration, and cloud-based deployments

Required

Experience Level: Senior Level

Have experience with Haskell. You have written Haskell in your free time or professionally. You know about the advanced features of the language and can navigate a large codebase that uses them

Have experience leading teams on the delivery of complex projects. You should be comfortable developing from ideas to a fully featured product, and guiding other engineers in doing so

You are comfortable working on the core (consensus, ledger, APIs, testing, etc.) of a blockchain project: no dapp, no NFT

You have experience with, and gain satisfaction from, mentoring and developing other engineers in their careers. You're an experienced people manager who knows how to motivate and get the best from the people you manage

Skilled in managing development pipelines, test automation, continuous integration, and cloud-based deployments

Knowledgeable in software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies

Ability to distinguish between accidental and essential complexity

Experience working in teams on large codebases or completing independently-driven projects

Preferred

Passionate about Nix (or similar systems such as Guix). Likely a contributor to nixpkgs, or hosting private flakes or overlays

Interest in declarative, reproducible builds, with experience in systems like Bazel, Buck2, or Meson

Participate in public communication via writing blog posts and communicating with colleagues and the Functional programming community

Optionally, you have experience with at least one non-Haskell functional programming language (Scala, OCaml, Erlang, Clojure, etc.)
