Network And System Administrator

Intercontinental Terminals Company, LLC is seeking a Network and System Administrator to manage and support their network infrastructure. Responsibilities

Install, configure and support servers, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless network, backup systems, storage area networks, virtual servers, desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and other associated hardware and
Manage Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy
Monitor and test network performance and troubleshoot any performance
Research and recommend changes to the system architecture to accommodate technology upgrades, improve performance, increase efficiency, and reduce costs
Assess and define short-term and long-term network capacity
Maintain, test and update the data backup systems, archiving and the disaster recovery
Assist in the development and implementation of network and system administration policies and
Maintain an accurate IT asset
Monitor, test, and document network hardware configurations, security settings, processes, policy compliance, backup procedures, and other network administrative activities as required by Sarbanes-Oxley
Interact and negotiate with vendors and contractors to procure network products and
Provide support for land line phones and
Provide end user support as part of a 24x7 help desk, including training and assisting staff in using hardware and software more efficiently
Install security patches on all servers
Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager and/or Senior Director of Technology and Continuous Improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or other technical field or at least 5 years of experience as a Network and System Administrator or related role in the design, implementation, support, and management of complex LAN and server solutions
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work with all levels of staff to define business and technical requirements as well as to perform system administration tasks
Working knowledge of software patch management and updates

Preferred

Certifications: CCNA, Network+, Security +, Server +, VMware Certified Professional
Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
