Cyber Audit and Compliance College Aide
The City of New York is committed to leveraging technology to improve public services and drive innovation. The Cyber Audit and Compliance College Aide will support the Audit and Compliance Division within OTI’s Office of Cyber Command, contributing to the enforcement of cybersecurity policies and enhancing the City’s cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities
Assist in reviewing NYC agencies’ cybersecurity programs to help determine risks and ensure they follow Citywide cybersecurity policies and standards
Participate in discussions with IT, Security, and Legal teams across the agency and provide recommendations on various Risk and Compliance topics, such as Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Protection, and information discoverability under Freedom of Information Law
Participate in reviewing audits of cybersecurity programs and projects
Participate in assessing risks and supporting the audit process for cybersecurity programs and projects
Assist in reviewing and updating information security and technology policies and procedures for NYC agencies
Assist in creating and maintaining internal cybersecurity compliance policies and procedures and provide recommendations for possible improvements to the Audit and Compliance program
Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school
For Assignment Level II (Information Technology): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study
For Assignment Level III (Information Technology Fellow): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study
