Director, Media Buying
WKQ Media is a progressive media company seeking an experienced Director of Media Buying to lead a team in developing effective digital strategies for political clients. The role involves collaborating with principals and client agencies to optimize and oversee media campaigns, while mentoring a team focused on innovative advertising trends.

Responsibilities
Develop and assess digital advertising plans aligned with clients' strategic objectives, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) for success
Manage and mentor a team of media buyers tasked with day-to-day activities for video, display, OTT, SEM, and paid social campaigns, including bid management, budget allocation, performance monitoring, and creative testing
Maintain close contact with client agencies to ensure they are able to communicate clearly and effectively with their end clients
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in our tech stack, including Basis, Campaign Manager 360, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and similar platforms
Experience in online ad technologies on the buy-side, covering creative formats, ad serving, and viewability/verification
Deep knowledge and commitment to supply path optimization in digital buying - especially CTV
Skill in gathering and analyzing ad performance data and educating others in this process
You'll guide the team in optimizing ad campaigns and providing clear, user-friendly recommendations to clients
A minimum of 7 years' experience and a deep understanding of digital video-first advertising
Preferred
Previous involvement in political, advocacy, or union campaigns is advantageous, with an understanding of their strategies, tactics, goals, and timelines
