Responsibilities

Representing clients before Immigration Courts in removal defenses, applications for immigration reliefs, criminal removal defense matters, custody and bond hearings
Representing clients before Federal Courts for immigration related federal litigations
Appearing for interviews or appointments before the federal or state government agencies
Handling family immigration matters before the USCIS
Responding to requests for evidence (RFE), notices of intent to deny (NOID), notices of intent to revoke (NOIR), audits, motions, and appeals
Reviewing and doing quality control on junior attorneys or non-attorney staff's work
Managing client relationships by communicating with clients, updating case statuses in our systems, and ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures
Working closely with the team, attending meetings and trainings, and sharing the firm's values in delivering high-quality legal services to clients

Qualification

J.D. from ABA-approved law schoolActive state bar membership5+ years immigration litigation experienceImmigration case management systemLegal researchProfessional growth desireFull-time availabilityCase management software proficiencyCommunication skillsAttention to detail

Required

J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
Active member in good standing of any state bar in the United States
Ability to manage 100+ case files
Ability to handle cases from beginning to end efficiently and effectively
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and professionalism
At least 5 years of experience in removal defense or immigration federal litigation
Familiarity with immigration case management system
Strong legal research and writing skills in preparing declaration, motions, briefs
Strong communication skills – on the phone, via email, and in person
Strong desire to advance and grow professionally within the firm
Fully committed to full-time availability

Preferred

Proficiency in using case management software, such as INSZOOM, Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Confluence, Slack, highly desired
