Sales and Business Development Account Executive, Sub-Saharan Africa Region
Telesat is a leading global satellite operator providing satellite communications solutions worldwide. The Sales and Business Development Account Executive will develop and execute strategies for Telesat Lightspeed LEO Services in the Sub-Saharan Africa region, focusing on building partnerships and driving sales.

Responsibilities
Collaborate and team with Telesat’s Global Account Sales team by offering additional sales and business development support for existing GEO customers
Evangelize Telesat Lightspeed in the market, create interest for Telesat LEO at decision making level (C-suite, technology/planning heads), influence long-term network strategy and connectivity requirements of prospects
Build sales and distribution channel partnerships in the Sub-Saharan Africa region
Responsible for developing and executing a business plan for all in the Sub-Saharan Africa region: i.e. MNOs, Large and Small Telcos, WISPs, Service Providers, and Large Enterprise customers. This includes closing agreements with customers for future services
Pipeline and account planning
Responsible for alignment of activities and objectives across virtual teams including solution engineering, product and sales operations
Qualification
Required
15+ years of sales and business development experience within the Satellite and/or Telecommunications Industry
Extensive knowledge of the Sub-Saharan Africa region markets, key players and dynamics
Extensive experience in Satellite and/or Enterprise domains is required
Must have a proven track record in Business development and Sales activities where you exceeded targets and captured new accounts with Large TELCOS, MNOs and Managed Service providers
Experience in designing and executing sales strategies and sell Telesat's value proposition of our GEO and LEO Lightspeed offerings at the 'C suite' level
Ability to manage in a dynamic, high-growth environment
Experience in winning complex sales (orchestrating deals across different stakeholders (Technology, Engineering/Planning, Procurement, Operations, Business); Strong negotiation skills; Consultative sales experience
Experience with standard sales tools, ability to design complex account plans
Ability to provide detailed report and status on sales activity as well as executive briefing for key negotiation
Design execute BD and sales plans; market review and assessment, intelligence and competition analysis; support product development and customers feedback, support tailored customer value proposition design
Excellent command of English (written and oral)
Extensive travel is anticipated throughout the region
