Facilities Maintenance Manager

Graphic Packaging International is a leading manufacturer of paperboard and paper-based packaging. The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for all building and grounds issues, security, and managing projects that support various paper machines and facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

Design and/or direct installation of new construction of the facility
Provide planning and oversight for demolition of structures on the facility
Verify environmental compliance to all construction/demolition projects
Provide insight into the feasibility of new construction or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors
Maintain the general upkeep to the facilities buildings and grounds
Provides fiscal management to building and grounds, project budgets
Direct and coordinates site security projects
Leads the site security team
Plans security contingency requirements as needed and directed by the Mill Manager
Develop and oversee contractor management systems
Work with Mill Human Resources group and Mill Manager to improve community relation and mill culture

Required

2 - 3 years capital project management experience
Project management and leadership skills
Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis
Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement
Must have good attention to details, but be able to manage the big picture and have a 'make the numbers' mentality
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Solid planning, leadership, and administrative skills
Proven experience process improvement and project management skills
Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities
Design skills, presenting technical information, equipment maintenance
Quality focus, general consulting skills, production planning, technical zeal

Preferred

5 years manufacturing experience in heavy industry with paper manufacturing experience preferred
BS degree is preferred (not required)
SAP experience preferred
