Responsibilities
Translate system architecture into flightready hardware by leading the design of tanks, structures, mechanisms, and spacecraft interfaces
CAD modelling
Packaging
Mass properties tracking
Mechanical ICDs
Structural and thermal analysis
Supplier engagement
Support through major design reviews
Qualification
Required
Expert SolidWorks capability, including assemblies, drawings, and configurations
Strong GD&T knowledge and tolerance stack-up understanding
Experience designing spacecraft or flight hardware
Background with lightweight structures and propulsion interfaces
Understanding of launch environments including vibration, loads, and thermal conditions
Familiarity with structural and thermal analysis tools
Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
Excellent documentation habits and attention to detail
US person status
Preferred
Experience with composite structures
Experience with small satellites
Experience with OTV systems
