Responsibilities

Responsible for driving the strategy, through positive power and influence for $1B in spend across 13 divisions
Focal for multi division agreements, with suppliers ranging from $5M/year in annual revenue to Fortune 250 companies
Mentor for division Strategic Sourcing team members, providing guidance on managing key SC metrics and improvement plans
Leads multi division ‘request for information’ efforts, to summarize impact in a clear concise manner for executive leadership
In coordination with our corporate initiatives, develop and deploy a comprehensive Group wide supplier commodity strategy that supports business goals including supplier coordination and consolidation, process standardization and material cost reductions. Ensures that all key stakeholders are actively involved in the solicitation and negotiation and award process
Leads and coordinates all Group wide negotiation activities and ensures that all contract terms and unique customer flow down requirements are incorporated and linked to quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement objectives. Develops and deploys cost models to ensure total cost of ownership are considered and incorporated into the purchase agreements
Maintains continuous, in-depth knowledge of market conditions, industry trends and developing technologies related to key commodities of purchase

Required

Ten or more years of strategic sourcing experience with complex fabrications, complex mechanical and electrical assemblies including major, industry-specific subcontracting experience with significant budgetary and business performance impact
Four-year college degree in business, engineering or supply management required
Functional understanding of cost accounting and adapt to practical application
Demonstrated analytical and technical skills to understand business practices and apply to work practices
Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively coordinate and manage cross organizational needs and priorities and influence key decisions

Preferred

Prior management and project team leadership preferred
AEROSPACE EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
MBA degree and Certificate in Purchasing Management (CPM) or Contracts Management preferred
