The Pit Engineering Office is seeking a Science/Engineering Program Manager to provide leadership and support for Integrated Project Teams executing projects related to the laboratory's weapons portfolio.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of detailed PEO templates to establish scope, resource loaded schedules, and budgets
Provide leadership and support to the integrated project teams to enable schedule performance throughout all phases of the project lifecycle
Track and report on the milestones and deliverables, within LANL's PEO portfolio
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate successful integrated work between facility construction upgrades and manufacturing operations
Manage, track, and mitigate risks across the PEO portfolio
Work to align FYNSP planning across the portfolio with NA-191 and specific tail number programs as necessary
Lead the development and regular update of PEO resource loaded schedule templates, budgets, and cost models for planning, design, fabrication, assembly, execution, and final reporting
Monitor resources and identify funding gaps in key capabilities needed for PEO mission success

Required

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience defining programmatic work scope, developing resource loaded schedules, and creating budgets for complex projects or programs
Demonstrated experience applying project control principles and standards to manage cost and schedule performance of complex projects
Demonstrated experience developing milestones and deliverables
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet schedule deliverables for multiple concurrent projects with a range of priorities
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Experience developing and nurturing effective customer relationships
Demonstrated experience developing and negotiating complex cross-organizational agreements, interfaces, and funding models
Successful experience interacting effectively with all levels of personnel; building trust, gaining consensus, and resolving conflicts
Successfully demonstrated experience developing and mentoring staff
Position requires a bachelor's degree in a science or engineering related field from an accredited institution and 5 years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level an advanced degree is typically expected

Preferred

Demonstrated successful experience working with the LANL Integrated Schedule (IS)
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Knowledge of LANL organizational structure, policies, and procedures
Familiarity with the line organizations (E.g. Sigma, MST, V, PT, Q, & W) executing work
Degree in a Science or Engineering field
Familiarity with the NNSA budgetary process and cycle
