Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing initiatives that elevate awareness, engagement, and adoption of voucher incentive programs while establishing brand consistency across channels
Create compelling messaging that resonates with target audiences to drive measurable business impact
This role will orchestrate the end-to-end marketing strategy for CALSTART’s zero-emission vehicle initiatives and incentive programs, from conceptualization through execution, including the launch of a new brand, website, and content ecosystem
The Marketing Manager will own the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for voucher incentive programs, brand development, content creation, and campaign management—building the framework from the ground up and driving continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making
Develop Marketing Strategy: Create data-driven marketing plans aligned with business goals to reach target audiences
Execute Marketing Plans: Implement marketing tactics across channels while managing timelines, budgets, and performance metrics
Develop strategic communications for marketing initiatives, launches, and new programs
Own projects from kickoff through launch; coordinate execution activities through project closure
Develop and manage project timelines to ensure creative projects are completed on schedule
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for seamless execution
Review and approve all creative materials to ensure alignment with CALSTART and voucher incentive program standards
Conduct research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights within the trucks and clean transportation industry
Develop and implement content strategies that align with CALSTART’s goals and collaborate with senior leadership on continuous improvement
Create high-quality content for various platforms, including emails, blogs, case studies, white papers, and social media
Support the creation and refinement of voucher incentive program brand strategy
Ensure consistent messaging, tone, and visuals across all materials and campaigns
Maintain cohesive brand storytelling across all platforms
Provide brand standards training and guidance to ensure internal alignment
Identify and implement workflows to improve efficiency across teams
Establish structured processes for approvals, consistency, and quality standards
Track engagement and effectiveness across channels
Prepare and present weekly reports to the Deputy Director and stakeholders
Provide insights and recommendations for optimization based on performance data

Required

5–7 years of professional marketing experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or equivalent experience
Proven project management skills and the ability to bring structure to ambiguity
Strong communication skills with cross-functional leadership experience
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Monday.com, MailChimp, Hootsuite, Canva, MS Office)
Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Passion for sustainability and clean transportation solutions

Preferred

In-depth understanding of clean transportation technology and market dynamics
Experience managing multi-channel marketing initiatives and brand launches
Familiarity with public incentive programs or government-funded initiatives
