Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) CAD Technician (NASA LTVS Award Contingent)

Axiom Space is collaborating with Astrolab, Inc. to develop a Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) for future Artemis missions. They are seeking a high-energy CAD Technician to support the LTV program, requiring strong problem-solving and organizational skills, as well as experience in Extravehicular Activities and Robotics.

Responsibilities

Preparing and modifying 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software, mainly SolidWorks
Translating conceptual sketches, layouts, and design notes into accurate technical drawings
Maintaining drawing files, project folders, and version control in accordance with company standards
Reviewing and checking drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client and regulatory requirements
Coordinating with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve design discrepancies
Assisting in preparing construction and fabrication documents, bills of materials, and as-built drawings
Supporting digital modeling and design visualization for proposals and client presentations
Performing additional job duties as assigned

Required

Associate degree or certification in Drafting, CAD Technology, Aerospace Engineering Technology, or related field
0-5 years of experience as CAD technician or drafter in aerospace, defense or precision mechanical design environment
Familiarity with 3D modeling, design standards, and file management systems
Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing, dimensioning, and drawing conventions
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
