The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the planning and development of software solutions for standard laser systems and will lead other engineers while collaborating with various teams to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities
Create software plans and roadmaps for standard systems
Develop software programs for standard systems
Develop software specifications and guide other engineers in fulfilling requirements during projects
Read, understand, test, debug and improve existing software
Lead and participate in cross-functional software reviews
Develop and maintain Visual Components Customizations (Commands and Behavior Scripts)
Collaborate with Simulation, Design and Project team personnel to complete development assignments
Maintain project records in designated folders in a timely manner
Complete work activities within project hours allotted and project schedule
Participate in cost reduction and value improvement initiatives on standard systems
Participate in continuous improvement activities of the company
Review and provide input to development plans when requested
Performs other related work and special projects as directed by management
Obeys company policies and procedures and observes all safety regulations
Qualification
Required
Experience in planning and development of software solutions for standard laser systems
Ability to develop customized applications leveraging the API of commercial software
Experience with Visual Components
Strong leadership skills to guide other engineers
Ability to collaborate with management, Automation System Engineers, and Simulation Engineers
Experience in creating software plans and roadmaps
Ability to develop software programs and specifications
Experience in reading, understanding, testing, debugging, and improving existing software
Experience in leading and participating in cross-functional software reviews
Ability to develop and maintain Visual Components Customizations (Commands and Behavior Scripts)
Experience in collaborating with Simulation, Design, and Project team personnel
Ability to maintain project records in designated folders in a timely manner
Ability to complete work activities within project hours allotted and project schedule
Experience in participating in cost reduction and value improvement initiatives
