Responsibilities
Assist with data extraction, transformation, and loading to ensure reliable and accurate datasets
Write, optimise, and troubleshoot SQL queries; work with relational and non-relational databases
Explore and analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Datawind Dashboard, Tableau, or Power BI
Work closely with analysts, data scientists, and engineers on cross-functional projects
Contribute to process documentation, data dictionaries, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Currently studying towards a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with at least one database management system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB)
Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, Python (pandas, NumPy), or R
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Datawind Dashboard)
Previous internship, coursework, or project work in data analysis, data engineering, or machine learning
Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, or cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
