Data Scientist
Siemens is a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. They are seeking a Data Scientist to work closely with cross-functional teams to extract insights from large datasets, develop predictive models, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
Collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources
Developing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems
Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions
Communicating findings and insights through data visualization and reports
Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in data science and machine learning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
At least three years' experience working as a data engineer, data architect, or related roles
Experience working with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake
Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, SageMaker, AzureML)
Experience working with real-time data integration techniques and tools, such as Model Context Protocol (MCP), APIs, Kafka
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role
Proven experience working with relational databases such as SQL, Postgres
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or R
Experience working with Manufacturing datasets and industrial protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT)
Experience with data governance frameworks and practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
