Responsibilities

Manage and monitor the full lifecycle of EDI transactions including purchase orders (850), invoices (810), advance ship notices (856), remittance advice (820), and acknowledgments (997)

Identify transmission issues that could impact order processing, shipping notifications, or invoice delivery

Coordinate testing and implementation for new trading partners or document types, ensuring smooth integration for Customer Service and Credit teams alike

Act as the liaison between Customer Service, Credit, IT, and Vendor Compliance to resolve EDI-related issues quickly and efficiently

Track EDI transaction success rates and analyze recurring issues impacting service levels or cash application timing. Recommend process enhancements that improve automation, reduce manual touches, and strengthen data accuracy for both orders and invoices. Develop reports or dashboards to give leadership visibility into transaction health, deduction prevention, and compliance trends

Utilize detailed transaction logs and communication records to support audit readiness and internal controls by providing documentation of EDI validation, transmission accuracy, and compliance adherence to internal audit
