Responsibilities
Oversee the purchasing of materials and components to ensure timely availability for production and operational needs
Analyze market trends and demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels and purchasing strategies
Provide support to the Sourcing Team that is charge of negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and maintain strong supplier relationships
Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess stock while ensuring product availability
Work closely with internal teams, such as production, logistics, and finance, to align procurement strategies with business objectives
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential
Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems
ERP/MRP Systems experienced user. (JDE, AS400, QAD, SAP,) JDE is a Plus
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms
Good interpersonal skills; can easily relate and work well with people
Detail-oriented
Leadership ability to ensure effective teamwork
Decision-making ability to resolve problems, prioritize multiple tasks and disposition material
Ability and willingness to adapt to and help drive continual change
LEAN/Six SIGMA practices
Preferred
Previous experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. Junior roles may require less experience, while senior positions may require extensive experience and leadership skills
