Cybersecurity Operations Center Analyst (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and triage security alerts, reports, customer requests, and other inputs to identify potential threats—applying human intelligence to complement automated detection systems
Maintain accurate records of actions taken and ensure timely updates to internal and vendor ticketing systems
Collaborate with vendors, customers, and IT teams through email, chat, phone, and other channels to support incident investigation and resolution
Perform incident and error log management across relevant applications and tools
Recommend improvements to reduce false positives/negatives and strengthen mail filtering and broader security operations
Report daily and weekly on workload, ticket metrics, issues, recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies
Work night shifts (7 PM–7 AM Eastern) on a rotating schedule, example: Week 1: Three 12-hour shifts, Week 2: Three 12-hour shifts + one 8-hour shift

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
1+ years of experience in security operations or a related IT security role

Preferred

Working understanding of phishing techniques, malware (attachment-based, URL-based, ransomware, RATs, stealers, etc.), and broader threat landscapes
Experience using security tools such as Splunk, Rapid7, QRadar, Okta, and Confluence
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interpret security playbooks and clearly document findings and recommendations
Experience supporting large enterprise or regulated environments
Familiarity with aviation, critical infrastructure, or high-availability system security
