Responsibilities

Collaborate with the engineering team to define project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans for high-performance engines and transmission parts
Design and conduct performance, durability, stress, and reliability tests to ensure products meet quality standards and compliance requirements
Operate advanced testing equipment such as dynamometers, data acquisition systems, and diagnostic software to capture accurate performance data
Analyze test results, identify issues or deviations, and work with engineering teams to implement effective solutions
Apply statistical analysis techniques to interpret test data and drive continuous improvement
Document findings and provide clear, concise test reports for project stakeholders, including recommendations for design or process changes
Continuously refine and optimize testing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
Stay informed about industry trends, new testing methodologies, and advancements in high-performance automotive technology
Contribute to the innovation of products by ensuring testing aligns with performance goals and customer expectations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
Proven experience as a test engineer in the automotive industry, preferably with high-performance engine and transmission components (FSAE experience acceptable)
Strong understanding of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains
Proficiency with testing equipment such as dynamometers, data acquisition systems, and diagnostic software
Knowledge of industry testing standards, procedures, and compliance requirements
Experience with statistical data analysis and interpretation
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
