Responsibilities

Lead and scale the global People Operations function, supporting the United States, Canada, India, and future international regions while building the systems and policies required for continued global expansion
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on organizational design, workforce strategy, talent planning, international growth, and risk mitigation
Act as the organization’s primary internal expert on complex HR and team member relations matters, proactively interpreting employment regulations and guiding leaders through high-risk situations with informed, legally aligned judgment
Oversee global HR operations, including team member lifecycle management, compliance, benefits, workforce planning, organizational development, and team member relations
Ensure full compliance with U.S. federal and multi-state employment laws across 25 or more states, as well as international labor standards, identifying risks early and implementing proactive solutions
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global People Operations team that collaborates effectively across cultures, time zones, and expanding geographic regions
Design and implement scalable global programs, including onboarding, performance management, compensation and total rewards frameworks, leadership development, and team member relations protocols
Guide People Operations support for organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, role evolution, scaling, and cultural transformation
Establish, refine, and maintain global HR policies, team member handbooks, and compliance frameworks that ensure consistency and operational excellence
Manage relationships with external partners including legal counsel, benefits brokers, compliance specialists, and HR technology vendors, ensuring outside counsel is engaged only for the most complex or high-risk matters

Required

10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources or People Operations, including 5 years in leadership roles overseeing complex multi-state and global workforces
Proven experience leading People Operations for an organization of at least 500 team members, ideally within a fast-growing technology or services environment
Expert-level knowledge of U.S. federal and multi-state employment laws, with the ability to independently resolve the majority of HR issues without heavy reliance on external legal counsel
Direct experience overseeing People Operations in multiple international countries, with strong preference for candidates who have partnered closely with teams in India or have managed India-based team members
Extensive experience building scalable People Operations infrastructure in areas such as onboarding, performance management, total rewards, leadership development, and team member relations frameworks
Deep experience independently managing complex and sensitive team member relations matters, including investigations, policy violations, performance escalations, and conflict resolution
Strong track record advising executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, restructuring, and strategic talent initiatives
Analytical mindset with proficiency in HRIS platforms and people analytics to support data-driven decision-making
Exceptional communication, leadership presence, and influencing skills with the ability to drive clarity, alignment, and action across diverse global teams
High levels of integrity, discretion, and professional maturity in handling confidential matters and leading through change
