Responsibilities
Collect, refine, and decompose system requirements for BCM, PDU and HV/LV power distribution functions
Maintain traceability across requirements, architecture, and validation using DOORS , Jama, or Polarion
Define system-level behaviors (power modes, wake/sleep logic, load management, error states)
Support system architecture definition and interface management across HV/LV components
Review SysML -based models prepared by MBSE specialists (no advanced modeling required)
Ensure design consistency across BCM, PDU, inverter, DC/DC, OBCM, BMS and thermal systems
Analyze HV/LV schematics, switching/protection logic, relays/fuses, and current paths
Define and review CAN/CAN FD messages, UDS DIDs, routines, and diagnostic fault handling
Support debugging and validation by clarifying expected vs. actual diagnostic behavior
Provide system-level inputs to Safety specialists for HARA, FSC, and TSC definition
Work closely with software, hardware, validation, MBSE, safety and cyber teams
Qualification
Required
3–7+ years of experience in Automotive Systems Engineering
Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, PDU/BCM functionality and vehicle power management
Experience with CAN/CAN FD and diagnostics (UDS)
Requirements engineering using DOORS, Jama, or Polarion
Understanding of system architecture principles (block diagrams, interfaces, signal flows)
Ability to analyze system behaviors and dependencies across multiple domains
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
3+ years of experience in system engineering or requirements management in the automotive sector
Preferred
Exposure to MBSE (SysML review & update)
Familiarity with ISO 26262 at system level (inputs, safety mechanisms)
Basic scripting (Python/MATLAB) for data analysis or automation
Experience with HIL/SIL environments or system validation
Strong communication and clarity in system-level explanation
Ability to work cross-functionally and support customers directly
Proactive approach to problem solving in complex architectures
