Responsibilities
Serve as an expert source of information handling a variety of civilian payroll situations
Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders regarding payroll and leave issues
Verify entries in automated timekeeping systems for consistency and compliance with regulations
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship
One year of specialized experience which includes: Performing two or more of the following, 1) Reviewing automated system records of time and attendance; 2) Compiling and verifying the accuracy of civilian payroll data; 3) Resolving civilian pay discrepancies; and 4) Providing training on payroll procedures
One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Budget Administration, Accounting, Finance, Business Management and Public Administration
Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%
Ability to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations
This may be considered an inclement weather position. The incumbent may be expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during inclement weather conditions
Incumbent may be required to perform call duties; work overtime to include weekends and federal holidays, out of cycle, or unscheduled training or on an emergency basis
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship
One year trial/probationary period may be required
