Valtas is conducting a nationwide search for the inaugural President & CEO of the Seattle Botanic Gardens, which aims to unify two significant organizations. The new leader will be responsible for guiding the integration of resources, inspiring staff, and overseeing ambitious capital projects.

Guide the integration of the University of Washington Botanic Garden and The Arboretum Foundation into a single entity
Inspire and build relationships with staff and stakeholders
Lead fundraising efforts for the Montlake Peninsula project
Qualification
Required
Leadership experience in a similar organization or role
Visionary thinking combined with empathy
Strategic thinking and relationship building skills
Fundraising skills
Genuine care for staff
Experience in managing public use and access, plant care, science education, and community programs
Ability to inspire others and bring people together
Experience in developing and executing ambitious capital projects
Experience in botanical and environmental research
Experience in educational program development
Ability to connect with diverse communities and stakeholders
