Responsibilities
Develop and implement artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques for power system planning, operation, control, and cybersecurity, with a particular focus on grid applications of large language models (LLMs) and foundation models (FMs) to ensure the energy security and operational reliability of electric power systems
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with a strong foundation in artificial intelligence and machine learning, particularly in LLMs and FMs
Demonstrated ability to leverage LLM and/or FM in advanced technical areas
Experience with/knowledge of modeling complex engineering systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take direction effectively and collaborate within interdisciplinary project teams
Preferred
Knowledge of/experience with modeling, simulation, dynamics, and control of complex systems such as power grids
Knowledge of/experience in energy systems, including familiarity with commonly used tools, frameworks, cybersecurity, and best practices
