As an Order Management Engineer, you will handle customer service duties including inquiries, problem resolution, and order management while coordinating with various departments to ensure customer commitments are met.

Responsibilities
Coordinate with internal and external customers demonstrating product knowledge
Manage details of customer orders from receipt through invoicing
Review transactions for completeness and accuracy
Work closely with product line managers and engineering to determine technical scope of work for orders placed on plant
Coordinates daily activities with operations, quality, engineering, shipping/receiving to ensure orders are progressing to meet customer commitments
Expediting of orders or proposals for customers as necessary
Works with purchasing in scheduling requests for subcontract services at supplier facilities
Maintain positive customer and interpersonal relationships, including telephone, correspondence and customer visits as required
Provide customer correspondence such as schedule updates, quality issues, clarification of scopes of work and any/all information impacting customer deliveries
Create/provide reports on customer centered metrics to upper management
Create work instructions and SOPs of process and standards specific to plant
Perform other duties as directed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ plus years of experience involving Customer interaction, coordination of work prioritization and successful demonstration of ability to work independently and with teams
Candidates must have a very good grasp of Microsoft office programs and have basic knowledge of ERP systems
Candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills
Excellent, demonstrated experience with computers and Microsoft Office software
Requires strong problem solving and analytical skills
Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Communication with internal customers to understand requirements and communicate process deviations
Requires strict confidentiality in dealing with sensitive, private information, and possesses high professional ethics, dependability, good judgement, and ability to take decisive action
Ability to willingly participate in a team environment to achieve departmental and organizational goals and objectives
Ability to work with established deadlines and achieve goals/outcomes
Preferred
Experience in SAP a plus
