Responsibilities

Designing, building, and optimizing data warehousing and analytics solutions

Transforming raw data into high-value, AI-ready assets

Ensuring data quality, performance, and accessibility for business intelligence and machine learning applications

Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced agile environment

Architecting, building, and maintaining highly scalable and fault-tolerant ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Synapse Pipelines

Leading the development, maintenance, and performance tuning of the data warehouse environment within Azure Synapse Analytics

Applying expert knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques to create robust, clean, and efficient data models

Developing optimized semantic layers and consumption models tailored for reporting and visualization tools

Collaborating with data scientists to implement data preparation, cleansing, and feature engineering processes

Utilizing expert-level T-SQL skills to write, optimize, and manage complex queries, stored procedures, and functions

Establishing and managing efficient data ingestion strategies for diverse, high-volume sources into Azure Data Lake Storage

Required

Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced agile environment

Architect, build, and maintain highly scalable and fault-tolerant ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Synapse Pipelines

Lead the development, maintenance, and performance tuning of the data warehouse environment within Azure Synapse Analytics, specifically managing dedicated SQL pools for petabyte-scale data

Apply expert knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques (star and snowflake schemas) to create robust, clean, and efficient data models

Develop optimized semantic layers and consumption models specifically tailored for reporting and visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau

Collaborate with data scientists to implement data preparation, cleansing, and feature engineering processes to ensure data assets are high-quality and 'AI ready.'

Utilize expert-level T-SQL skills to write, optimize, and manage complex queries, stored procedures, and functions necessary for large-scale data transformation and loading

Establish and manage efficient data ingestion strategies for diverse, high-volume sources into Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), ensuring proper organization and indexing

Ability to collaborate and communicate with customers to identify requirements

Ability to manage and prioritize own tasks and provide status updates

Ability to lead moving and driving work along while also removing development roadblocks

Bachelors in a Technical Discipline – Computer Science, Mathematics, or Data Science

Microsoft Azure Data Engineer certification

5+ years of experience or more

Ability to obtain Public Trust High required
